• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

DPS Installed

West Coast Powersports installed my DPS yesterday and I'm very pleased. I think it's vastly improved. It makes riding The Black even better. It definitely was a new experience. It took me about 100 miles and I was very comfortable with it. I have no doubt when I get back on it today, it will still be strange for the first few miles but know it will become second nature very soon.

Thanks to Ben and Brent (?) at WCPS for getting me in right away and the professional care and service rendered. It's what I consider a long ride for service, but good customer service is something I'm willing to travel for!

:congrats:

Sure you'll love the new feel in no time at all.:2thumbs:

DPS

Dropped the spyder off for DPS today. While they had it I asked about installing my RT shocks and 12 outlet in trunk and I was quoted $180.00.
Two hours of shop labor. I thought they would have to remove the trunk for DPS install and the work I wanted couldn't have taken more than 30 minutes.
I said no thanks I'll do it myself. It may take me 3 hours first time, not worth $180 for something I can do. :gaah:

SE5 in shop for new DPS

We're supposed to get my SO's SE5 back at 4 pm today. They are installing the new DPS and a couple of updates. This one was real sensitive at interstate speeds. I'm hoping the new unit will be vastly improved.

Now only two more to go... both SM5's. Have a great day and please ride 'em safely! ken krb1945

New DPS is...

great:2thumbs:. Rode it 80 miles back to the house and it is like riding a different machine. Tested it on all types of road conditions and speeds up to 105. Let it be known here and now that I don't usually drive that slow... I mean fast. Anyway the new DPS is stable and doesn't have the over steer sensitivity or locking in a position the old unit had.

Can't wait until next Thursday to get the SM5 done. Ken krb1945

Mine is being done today. Mechanic was off yesterday and started it late this afternoon. Should be done by lunch tomorrow.

Got mine done today and only had time to take it up the road a ways. Wow what a difference. Will be back on it tomorrow for sure.:2thumbs:
