DPS. Dealer called me

Day before yesterday I was called by my local dealer and was asked to bring in the spyder as they wanted to check error codes or whatever.. About 3 weeks or so ago I had mentioned that I thought I had a bit of steering issue. Yesterday they took the spyder in the back, seruice center and I was not allowed to go, and in a few moments the service manager came out and said for me to sign the paper work, they would put the DPS on order and was covered under waranty. Also they stated that they would call me in a about 4-10 days upon receipt of DPS and I would only be there about 4 hours for them to install the New ( even part # is new ) DPS.
I said ok,,, and left with the spyder.
They also cautioned me about riding safe and watch for steering changes.

Did you talk to the dealer prior to them calling you in, or did they just call you out of the blue. Just wondering are they replacing the part because of your V.I.N. # or because of a prior complaint ?:dontknow:opcorn:opcorn:
