• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

DPS Check

Got the dreaded Check DPS message today on my 2010 RS. Dropped it at the dealer and hope to hear tomorrow what the damage is. No limp, no bad handling, just the error. :yikes:

So they called and sure enough the DPS inside parts are bad requiring a new DPS unit ($1500). I asked the dealer about the recall for 2010 and he said they replaced it in mine Apr 2011. I bought it new (8 miles never owned by another) in Apr 2012. So I asked if it is still the same problem as the recall why can't they replace again since it obviously did not fix the known issue. Got a resounding no.

So I called BRP they listened said since it was only a couple months out of warranty and it was an old recall they might help out. So they gave me a case number and told me to have dealer contact BRP Tech and MAYBE they might be able to assist. More to follow on Tuesday dealer told me.

Update

So BRP is willing to replace the DPS unit for free all I have to pay for is the labor cutting the $1500 repair down to $300. Satisfied customer.
