Doru's error codes

OH MY.. just got off the phone with Doc and he is returning to Clearwater, fl, from Ft Meyers, Fl and has error codes which prevent him to go more than 12 miles without stopping and turning off the spyder for about 5 minutes.
The errors are
HOME MODE
VSS ERROR
DPS error

Any Ideas as to what the codes mean or what the problem is.. As you all know he had a complete rear end installed, ( NEW) swing arm wheel bearing and hub.

Never heard of HOME MODE before. I hope he gets his stuff resolved - that stinks!

:agree: This is a good place to start. I assume he already checked relays and the battery connections and battery condition.

Did a quick check in the manual. Anytime you get a VSS error, you will get a DPS error, since the DPS depends on the VSS. With no other errors shown, this is stated to be most likely a bad yaw sensor or steering angle sensor...assuming the battery and relays are in good shape and properly connected.

Like a wounded warrior Spyder made it home on her wheels; "Limp Home Mode" (with maximum speed of 49 mph and/or 3500 RPM), "VSS Fault" and "Check DPS". As of Chicago event, DPS was defective and service is waiting for part. opcorn:

Just finished doing a front end alignment on my SE5 and get the same codes. Have to get dealer to hook up BUDs and reset to angle sensor.

Mine did the same thing and it was a brake light fuse. (which was my fault it was blown)
