• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Donuts in the Snow

Took the Beast out in the snow for some donuts. (Riding, not eating). We got about 7 inches of sleet and snow but had to see how the bike would go in the snow. Had a ball but not surprisingly, Spyders dont do too well in these conditions. My charming, and very southern wife took video but I was unable to post on here. Its got a couple hundred views on Face book though. Everyone should try it, its great.

I can't seem to be able to link the facebook video and when I download the vid on my phone to SL, it says it is an incorrect file. Hopefully I will figure this out.

I don't believe you would be able to link the video to the forum unless you put it on YouTube first. However when the video is showing on Facebook, you should be able to cut and paste the URL (web address). Then anyone with a Facebook account should be able to see it by following the link, if you made the video "public" when you posted it.

It DOES work. Thanks.

The Spyder handled better in that snow than I would have thought.

Question

So, if you were riding in the mountains and it started snowing, as it has on me on the two wheeler, could you manage the Spyder well enough to continue riding to the next warm spot to wait it out? I've had to ride the motorcycle in several inches of snow before for as many as 30 miles before I could park it and wait the storm out. It was slow going but I made it on two wheels and both feet dragging the ground for stability. Wondering how the Spyder would do in such conditions. The Rockies are unpredictable in late spring and early fall.

I think I could as long as it just started snowing. I can drive or ride in anything. Riding two up would put some extra weight over the back wheel which would help wth traction. Having said that, I would probably never ride two up in that situation since my wife aint never riding if it is cold and/or snowing.
