• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Don't drag the Boss 302!

Humbling experience. Now keep in mind it's Florida and we have roads with stop lights and no driveways so dragging is somewhat safer than you may think. Plus 60 mph isn't even speeding so 0 to 60 is perfectly within your legal limits. Harleys like to drag - haven't lost yet. Corvette - no way would I drag a Corvette. Not the new Camaros either and definitely not a Ninja. But a Mustang? I'm thinking this should be doable. Didn't see the Boss 302 on the side until it was too late. He got half a length on me and I just couldn't close it. Losing a drag isn't good for our image so beware of what's written on the sides of these cars. Some pack a real punch!

The Spyder does OK, but it isn't all that quick. There are a lot of things out there that can take us in a drag race. But when it comes to Fun Factor, we leave them all in the WEEDS! :ohyea:

Lots of fast stock cars and trucks out there... Much less the modified ones. The Ricers are the only ones that you have the best chance of beating... Usually just all stickers and fart cans. :)

Mike I would never drag a Cobra. Or a Shelby.

Maybe if I'm in Vermont this summah you can take me for a ride in that Cobra! I'll buy lunch!

We are fast..!!

And I will beat most of them in the first 100 yards then let them fly down the road a scalded ape...as far as I'm concerned I won...:roflblack:

I put the wifes SS Impala against a Charger State Police Cruiser. Beat the snot out of the trooper until the Charger finally hit top gear.

I liked those Boss motors. Very tough! We ran a modified Boss 351 in this one.

When i did street race, B.A.H. [before adult hood] I would never beat the other guy by more than a foot or two,
We would call that sandbagging, If you beat your opponent by too much he wouldn't race you again.
Oh bye the way' we raced for money, So you wanted him to think he'll get you the next time.

IMHO, any adult caught street racing should have their license suspended for a good, long time.

BTW, Camaro's are pony cars.

:)

Ahhh... If only we can outlive our youth... :gaah:

But; as an insurance agent; streetracing should carry a different level of penalties than mere speeding...
It's all lots of fun until an innocent family gets put in a ditch, or worse!

We used to have a quarter mile "unauthorized" track in front of a house that we owned...
Until the inevitable head-on collision killed a whole bunch of people. :yikes:
