• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

This is going to be tough to explain but, I'm looking for a part that attaches to the Spyder over my feet (kind of like a peg) so the top of my feet can grip it when it really lean into the turns. It would make me feel like I wouldn't get thrown off the Spyder and maintain more control over the bike. Does this exist ??? Thanks in advance. If it does not Exist I don't want to see sealfloorboards make this without my permission or cut of the profits. :roflblack:

Something like a bear trap, [Stirrup]:dontknow:

You want to hook your feet under a peg so that the peg is on the top of your foot/toes, while the bottom of you feet are still resting on the stock pegs??

Is that safe?? What about getting your right foot "out from under" to get to the brake? I don't understand what you want?

Highway pegs?? To put your feet forward?? They exist. ESI has them Kewlmetal.

Describe more the positioning of the pegs you would like to have, please!

Same stock peg setup, but another peg or somthing, over the top of my shoe. So it will go like this Peg, shoe, peg. You will still be able to work the brake and shift normally. This would relieve alot of tention on the arms.

I used to ride horses. With them, there aren't even handlebars to hold onto. What keeps you on the horse is a significant portion of your weight being distributed to your feet. We always say, "keep your weight in your heels".

I think holding onto the handlebars is keeping you on the Spyder less than you think. It's balance and weight in your seat and down your legs that keeps you in the saddle.

Maybe, I'm out to lunch. But, I've got slippery Beadrider beads on the stock seat, and I know I'm not holding myself on with the handlebars. SOMETHING is keeping me from falling off!!! I think it's "balance" and weight down into your feet. JMO

I agree with what your saying but if we had somthing at the top of your foot to grip the bike with, we really could get into the turns.

I understand what you want. I just posted a little while ago in the thread about leaning trikes that I took my first real hard aggressive turn this past week. The Spyder stuck to the ground flawlessly, but the g-forces threw me 2/3 of the way off the seat. I don't think the solution is to lock your feet into place (which might do more harm than good in an accident) but to shift your weight and lean into a turn just before you initiaite it (at high speeds, that is). You don't want to be using the handle bars to steer and hang on at the same time - the bike won't lean, but if you want to ride aggressively, you should! JMHO...

I'm not saying I'm going to ride crazy, but I don't like it when the bike wants to throw me off even when I shift my weight to the side. I'm used to the snowmobile feeling where your locked feet helps control the sled during corning. Thanks for the invite when you went for a ride .:joke:

i push off the peg with my outside foot and hug the tank with my inside thigh. course i lean my torso too, but i don't actually scoot my big butt over on the seat.
if you try this and don't like it please update with something better/more comfortable....or where we can get some pegs! cause i would totally use the foot death trap!
