• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does f3 need buds to reset check engine display even though there are no active codes and can oil overfil cause check engine code , 9miles 10 min idled then 2 min just to check oil level who thought of this ,oil level check is a 20 minute job

Most codes will change their state from active to occured themselves, when the problem has been fixed. There are only maybe 1 or 2 that require being connected to buds to reset. If the display says check engine. There are active codes.

Why do you make it sound so difficult to check the oil level. It's not. When arriving home after having a fun ride. About once a month, depending on mileage. Check the oil. How hard is that? Really only takes a couple minutes. If the oil level is between the add and full, it's fine. It does not have to be full. It is normal that you will not have to add any oil between oil changes.

Yes overfilling with oil is bad. Don't know if it will cause any codes.

the display says no active codes when you put it in the code read mode ,the bike only has 30 miles on it and the oil is clean so it's very hard to tell level I just quoted the check process as listed in book and cover panel

If it only has 30 miles on it. Call the dealer.

Obviously an active fault yet it does not display on the active fault screen. That has come up a couple times lately and is not suppose to happen. No explanation for this so far either.

Dealer is 3 hour drive I was hoping for something simple as overfilled oil thanks for the reply

The 10 min idle is only needed if you have not driven the Spyder long/far enough to bring the oil up to operating temperature. I like to do a 20 mile loop to ensure that it is + it's more fun than idleing!.
