Does bluetooth turn off after a while

So i got a bluetooth thing for in the trunk to send my sirius to from my phone. Do I have to unplug it each time I shut the bike off? I currently have it plugged into the 3.5 jack and the USB jack to power it. But I noticed that the lights were still on it when I shut the bike off today. Does it turn off after a while?

More then likely the USB just charges the internal battery. And it has auto timers to save battery when it does not sence the device it was connected to. So no you do not have to unplug it just stay in range & or least check & reconnect often.

If it's the Bluetooth thingy I'm thinking about, then no. It just stays on until the battery runs down. Not a good thing.

In the right fuse box. Pull out the fuse in position 7 and reinstall it into position 6. Refer to your owners guide page 156 for more details.

In my 2015 RTS Operator's Guide, on page 152, it says that fuse position 6 is key switched and MOVING the fuse to position 7 is ALWAYS ON. I also have the Bluetooth Dongle from Lamonster, it has a rechargeable battery that lasts several hours of constant use. I was going to switch the fuses in the Right Side Fuse Box to position 7, but I have 2 USB charging ports that have red lights in them when the circuit is on, so I decided to leave the fuse in position 6. I put the dongle in the rear trunk connected to a USB port that will charge it while the Spyder is running and the dongle battery will keep it turned on. Dongle is connected to the 7-pin cable in the trunk right side so it is connected to the Spyder audio System and my helmet Bluetooth. My Spyder also has a 12v port in the frunk but is was concealed by the frunk liner, which now has a hole in it.

I guess my question is, will the bluetooth, plugged into the USB input for power, drain the battery. I have it in the trunk, and it is plugged into the usb port and the 3.5mm. It works good, but I wish there was a 3.5mm to plug directly into the phone at the handlebars.

It appears you did not understand my previous post. I f the fuse is in position 7. The outlet is always on. If the fuse is in position 6. The outlet is powered down with the key. So if in position 6 it cannot drain down the Spyder battery.

Yes, but that's for the power outlet, correct? I'm talking about the USB outlet. Or is it both the power outlet and the usb outlet?

I was thinking the 16 was the same as the 15 except the 12V power outlet was replaced by a double usb socket. Had to look it up. Sorry my mistake. You where talking about the usb cable that you can plug in an ipod or usb stick. That's powered by the radio. When the radio powers down so does that usb cable.
