• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does anyone know where the "nite" sensor is?

There is a sensor that changes the cluster to the "nite" colors. Some of us would like that on all of the time. But where is the sensor that determines it. You should be able to put a piece tape over it.

All I can say is that when I put a suction cup mount on the left/speedometer side of my RT-S about the 2:00 position, my "night mode" comes on.

--------> o 0 o = arrow pointing at left speedometer side

Try this..

cut a small square of black craft paper and place it under your index finger and slowly slide it till the light changes and your there....:thumbup:

Am I mistaken, but didn't I just see where you can change your display under settings on the Spyder Menu?

night lights

I also like to orange lights, I have tried to get mine to stay on but have had no luck, you can cover during daylight hours to find sensor or at night you can us a small beam of light ( flashlight to find this sensor) mine is near the 185 mph on speedometer, The only way I think you can keep this light on nighttime mode would be to take the plastic lens off and put electric tape over the sensor then put the lens back on good luck

If the sensor works via resistance that changes based on the light, would you be able to lock it to night (or day) by replacing the sensor with a resistor?

NIGHT MODE

I did this and found the NIGHT MODE - was almost un-readable in daylight / sunlight...........Try it for yourself, I think you will agree.....It's OK in the garage, but in sunlite it s*ucks.......jmho......Mike :thumbup:

WAIT A MINUTE

As usual, gotta go with Mike and Bob on this one. I dont like the orange at night either
You need to re-read my post........I said the NIGHT MODE is .....UN-READABLE .....in Daylight...............I like it, but can't use it in Daylite !!!!.....I have also discovered that lowering the NIGHT MODE to only 5 % makes it more useful at night .......Try it , you might like it better also........Mike :thumbup:
