• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does anyone know about these dealers?

Apparently Fun On Wheels in Frederick MD has ceased selling Spyders but their voice message says they still service them. However I can't get anyone to return my calls.

So, I'm looking to find a new place within a 2 hour ride to get my 2009 SE5 serviced. Does anyone have any experience with:

  1. Pete's Cycle Co, Severna Park MD
  2. Fredericksburg Motor Sports, Fredericksburg VA
Thanks,
Irish

Some Spyderlover gave this Pete's Cycle a good rec.

Guess maybe it is time to move to Missouri with the rest of your family, both blood and adopted.

Thanks, mate...they are 30 mins closer than either of the ones I mentioned. Pete's has a "Same Day Guarantee" which may make them as winner since I wouldn't have to spend the night but I'm going to call Hanover as soon as they open.

Definitely give Motosports in Hanover, PA a call. I bought my Spyder there talking with Tami and Ryan. AutumnCat bought her's from there also and got her 600 mile service done there too. I talked with Ryan a week ago (end of the week)about doing my 600 mile service, he looked at his planner and said any day the following week would be great and asked if I wanted to wait for it or drop it off. I said I could drop it off so he could take his time. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get it over to him yet. I would recommend them from what I have experienced so far. I am only 15 or so minutes from them, depending on when you go maybe we could meet up. Also, the Pete's Cycle in Severna Park only sells SeaDoo watercraft not Spyders. The one north of Baltimore sells them. I looked into them when I was getting mine. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info!!

I've made arrangements to have my Spyder worked on at Motosports in Hanover. Going to trailer it up there and drop it off since I need:

  • 12000 mile service which requires a valve check
  • Front tires
  • Emergency brake adjustment
  • Cluster check...only displays speed and temp; no light
Not sure how long that will take especially if the cluster issue requires parts. I have a couple of big rides coming up with my Military Vets Motorcycle Club and want to be sure my Spyder is ready.

I had called Pete's and confirmed what you said about them not handling Spyders. Plus they got BAD reviews online.
