• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does anyone get water in bags or Trunks when it rains?

I have a 2020 RTL , got in Jan 2021 - I have not had it in rain yet. Does anyone with a 2020 / 21 RTL, have water in side bags or trunks issues? Mine bags look well sealed. I don't wash my bike with a hose so I can't tell until the summer rain comes.

I would like to know before my first long trip

I picked up my 2021 RT base model (no OEM trunk) a few months ago and rode an hour home in a frog strangling rain. Dry as a bone inside the bags. I can only assume the OEM top case would be the same.

On the 2020, you have to open the top case slowly to allow any beaded up rain to run off. If you open the lid too fast, it can run inside the topcase. Nothing gets in the top, sides, or frunk with heavy rain or washing.

Happily, I have not had a water leakage problem in any of the Spyders owned. 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2014, 2019, or 2020. I think I am good. :roflblack:

2010

I bought my 2010 a few months back and got caught in a severe thunderstorm while riding it home. After three hours in heavy rain the compartments were all dry. I was not.;)

The only place mine (2014 RTS-SE6) is external, including the rider and passenger (if there is one). All interior stuff stays dry.
