• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does adding additional Brake Light void the factory warranty

i know i am late to the party, but i just got my Spyder and so just joined the site tonight.
i asked my dealer before even talking Spyder prices "i assume you guys will install any aftermarket products i want as long as they are street legal?" and the answer was a resounding YES! sometimes you have to like a down economy because not only are they willing to do installs that might be too small when times are good, but they are willing to do discounts on parts AND labor!
Triangle Cycles, i love you! (the Durham, NC location, never been to the one in Virginia).

by the by, i am getting a 3rd brake light (set as flash/strobing for brakes), brightsides, mud flap lights, and upgrading the front fender lights to a 4 LED kit. dealer had NO qualms whatsoever about not only installing them, but actually getting new business accounts so they could order them for me

:welcome::thumbup::congrats:

The thing with my dealer is if he can get it cheaper than me he orders it otherwise I buy and they install. They like to learn so they can recommend to others. Knowledge is never bad no matter where it comes from.

yeah, Triangle Cycles has learned a couple things from me (because i did a LOT or web research before deciding on a :spyder:over something else as well as looking for addons) and i have learned a lot from them. heck, as soon as i gave a list of items to order they started just knocking off dollars (even on the CanAm direct stuff). since they are so dedicated to giving their customers quality (and price breaks) i will probably only order stuff they cannot get (like Black Widow was just a tad difficult in setting up a business account for them).

KipDM, you have a good dealer there and I would be sure to support them as much as possible. :thumbup: As you read a lot of the threads on here, you will find that many do not have a good dealer they can rely on or who will go the extra mile for them like that, even when they could make some extra money by doing so.

I have the exact same LED tail light and added a Brake Strobe. Both upper and lower brake lights flash 10 times before going solid. If no one is behind me at a light and a car is coming, I lift my foot off the pedal and press again to get it to flash again. I could adjust the strobe to all flash but, like it the way it is.

With so many knuckleheads with a cellphone in there ear, who knows where their heads are? I've noticed in traffic, that many drivers back off seeing the lights flash. :thumbup:

Stop lights? I've been rear ended twice in two years. Damage both times were light. One gal told me she had the right to pass me. I added an LED on my dash that I tapped in to the stop light circuit. I thought I was riding my brakes and found that I wasn't. The LED is in a small threaded metal holder. It's a very bright blue light. I also instalaled a $100.00 electronic rear view mirror. My dealer told me it was a great idea. I made a schematic of everything I did and have a copy in the front trunk.
