• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

docdoru ...SFB floor boards

Thanks for the replies. Three more reasons to order the SFB floorboards. They are so sweeeet!

Know it might take a while to get them, but worth the wait. :2thumbs:

Very frustrating

I wish I would have read this thread before I ordered. I placed my order on the 20th of May, my card was charged on the 25th, and I've called several times since and been provided little information. The people are always polite, but none of the guys I've talked to seem to know much about the orders and the lady that handles shipping is rarely there. They should certainly disclose at the time the order is placed that they do not care to fill your order in a timely manner. I've worked with machinist in the past and they may charge a deposit, but the bulk of the payment is usually levied when the finished product is shipped. Additionally, these machinists were usually able to give me a fairly accurate estimate for completion time.

Oh well, I guess I'll continue to wait. I have no other recourse.:chill:

Sorry to hear that...
Try to call "tricplate" at 954-328-9507, I understand that they sell the SFB floor boards and maybe they know how to get in touch with them...:dontknow:

Thanks to everyone for letting me vent. I received my floorboards tonight. They are great quality and look fantastic. Most of all, they are very comfortable! Thanks again!

Kinda getting in on the conversation late but have a question that has kept me from ordering them.

Saw Doc's floorboard and footpeg setup. Function and form blended together beautifully. Would blend right into Spydee's look.

The issue is, didn't see any rubber on them. I heard all metal handgrips get slippery in the rain. Wondering what the traction on these floorboards are when wet?

I have them and I like them alot. My riding shoes don't have very deep treads on the soles and they do move on the floorboards from the vibration of the engine. I'm thinking I'll get some of that gripper tape they put on stairs, etc. to fix the problem. Every place I find that tape it's in a 10 ft roll. I need about 6 inches! My garage is already full of left over stuff like that. :opps:

Next I'm looking for those bath tub stick-ons in black. Maybe I can buy a small amount and cut to fit.

Maybe, also, I should finally get some new riding shoes! Do you think?

Possible solution: buy rubber stair treads and cut those, you should find them in any flooring section at Home Depot or Lowes. They make them for outdoor wooden deck stairs, so they'll hold up in the weather.
