• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Doc Humphrey's vibration dampener

I know that everyone already knows this, but hey, we are brand new to the Spyder world, so i wanted to give my thoughts on this product. First off, thanks everyone for pushing us toward this product to resolve the belt vibration issues. I was a little skeptical at first, as I misunderstood how the mechanism works without actually seeing it and thought it was way more complicated. Installation could not have been easier (thanks to Doc Humphrey's for linking me to a video at Lamonster that provides a key trick to getting this bracket that is under pressure, installed).

His block of wood that is included could not be simpler to use to line up the roller with the belt.

Well, you all know what the result is. I ran an extended and VERY spirited test drive today and there is absolute 0 vibration at all speeds. It's a cleverly simple fix to a problem that should not even exist as far as I'm concerned. I can just see Harley Davidson or Ducati telling their customers that their belts on cruisers vibrate but here is this pressure roller thingy you can pay for and install to get rid of it. They would be laughed out of the motorcycle industry. Shame on BRP for such terrible engineering, and to let this issue exist for so long, AND make their customers pay to get rid of it (either buy purchasing their unit or Doc Humphrey's)

Anyway, we are very happy campers now. A fantastically engineered and quality product. We are going to be looking hard at their brake pedal mod kit next.

Next up. Install of BajaRon's anti-sway bar at the dealer in a couple of days :-)

thanks everyone.

thanks everyone.

I installed one on my RT several months ago. It works great and is worth the money. I have also installed Bajaron Sway Bar another great product. The two together improve ride and handling.
