• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Do you think I have a problem on the horizon?

Never forget the time I had my algebra finals. Half of the test was a take home, and the other was a two hour in-class test. The day of the class (test) there was a fire in the mountain pass, and the freeway was closed. I called my teacher, and asked if I could fax in my test. This way I would only lose half of the credit. I am just glad the fire was on the news, so she emailed me the questions, and let me fax in both parts.

I tell you those extra two hours I used sure helped :ohyea: Ended up getting the highest grade on that final in the class.

I do work with students that have real issues so I would have done the same here.

On a quarter system he already missed 30% of the classes. On the semester it is 16 2/3%.

Either flunk him or let him drop.

First exam comes up at five weeks. My usual experience is this person is going to fail it--if he shows up. That is usually encouragement for them to withdraw. Here, I am guessing that will take care of the situation. If he does not withdraw, I have no problem giving an F.

dude course will be offered next quarter. You don't have the problem .. He does.:banghead:

I am going to let this play out to see what happens. This one was extra special so I thought others may like some tidbits.

My guess, failure of exam(s), withdraw, or an F if not withdrawn.

My only issue, these are the ones that make the biggest noise when they get the F. So far, I have survived. :roflblack::roflblack:

Thank you all so much for your interest in the thread. Just thought I would share some of the "interesting" stuff encountered while working in the college environment.
