• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Simple question. What term do you prefer, or what term to you think fits the situation best ??? I choose driving.

Those who chose "ride" should explain what ride means to them.

To me, driving means this...

Controlling every aspect of the bike (speed, shifting, steering, braking, cornering, traction, etc.) and having the ability to push the Spyder.

:dontknow:
I ride my Spyder, it's a feeling, when I move the Spyder it returns the favor and moves me

I ride and drive our spyder. Sometimes I'm in control of the Spyder (driving) and johnnyg is in back and then other times I'm riding and johnnyg is in control. But before I got my license we both rode. When we are alone we ride.

I ride my Spyder - sometimes like a stallion I open it up , give it, its head and then hang on for dear life enjoying the thrill, especially the 30mph curves at 60 plus mph

Ride my bike. I ride for the enjoyment, the excitement, and feeling of being completely free from any and all confinements of any sort...

while at the same time, I'm still aware of all driving aspects that come with a motorized vehicle on the streets/roads/and byways. :D

I guess if you ride the Spyder in a static position you could classify that as driving. But if you use that style of riding, the Spyder will through you in the ditch on curves.

In the twisties I ride my Spyder the same way I ride my sled. I move around on the seat, just not as pronounced.
