• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

news action channel that helps a consumer on problems with company's or other consumer product problems. ok i know it's 3:22 am and i don't sleep so i think about many things. so now i am reading a few posts about the heat issues and some of the posts are getting pretty hot ( pun intended ) and we need to stop arguing with each other. b4 you know it there will be so many people mad at each other that this great site will turn into a battle ground.

so now my idea is if we can get a e mail of a news station that does a consumer help line in Canada than we can pick a date for the people with heat issues to flood the help line with our complaints and add the phone numbers and names of the people we have talked to from brp. i personally think once brp is called for a comment on a story that the help line is working on, than we will see butts moving about our problems so fast they will become a blur.

i really hate to be a pest and trouble maker but i am good at it. so if any of our Canadian friends can help with some information it would be greatly appreciated and we can use this tread to make plans when we are going to e mail or call for help. ok i have to go now because i have early blood tests in the morning and i have to study for them.

Why in Canada? Can't we do that here in the states as well? Just because they are based in Canada don't mean we have to fight on their ground because they sell here to. We have a local TV station that did a thing like what your talking about called "Turn to 2" where people with real problem could ask the TV station to investigate the issue from BOTH sides. It had a lot of people on there with auto's that would not get fixed but also crappy roofers and plumbers, not sure that they even still do it? But I know where your going with this and i'm in!............

i figured their base is in canada and they would not want their name spread in the news where they are from. so let me know what you people want to do or we can just do it on our own and try different media sources

There was someone who did just that a couple of months ago he had an older Spyder though and wanted BRP to buy his back. I believe that the video was posted here as well.

Great idea to move forward

News stations want explosions, graphics, scarring, hospital interviews, and once in a while, facts. So, would be important to have figures, who is affected, statistics, (not the occ. anecdote.), etc. all lined up for them. How do we get it together so they have something important to report?

Create news

Schedule a ryde in at BRP hdqrs this spring? Picket poor servicing dealers? Just throwing it out there.

John I will leave that up to you. I personally thought the guy was an idiot and the news reporter did nothing to investigate if his claims were true or not. She just reported his rantings.

I agree, it was on a local new show in one of our provinces and it was poorly done! As mention above we have W5, also the marketplace on CBC.

:agree: I did not feel that BRP was the culprit here, IMO: the guy was also an idiot on a rant. You have to be careful trying to orchestrate something like this. Most news today is nothing more than soundbites orchestrated to make "someones" point. The whole thing could backfire. The "talking heads" are not your "friends".

The TV shows listed above are probably your best bet, since they get national coverage.

There are also 2 more consumer-oriented TV shows here, in Quebec, where BRP's headquarters are located: "La Facture" and "J.E.". They get air'ed on french channels, so they exposure would be less but it would still hurt the marketing dept.

I can't volunteer to get the story aired, since I do not have the issue on my 2011.
