Do all 2015 RT SE's have 1330 motors?

Do all RT's titled 2015 model year have the 1330 engine? In other words, is it possible to find a 2015 model with the vtwn engine? Thanks,eh? ;)

Thank you. I've been out of the Spyder loop for many years and am looking at purchasing another. :)

Granted the RT is a touring model and you might be looking for something more suited to "spirited" riding but, IMO, the 1330 engine is head and shoulders above the V-twins. Were I in your boots I'd test ride a 2015 F3 as well as the RS and ST. BRP ditched the V-twin models in '17 and, sure, it saves them some shekels in the manufacturing line with just one engine in production, but the V-twin was getting long in the tooth anyway.

All good advice above. A test drive should be part of the buying. It took me about 100 miles to be convinced the 1330 engine was the way to go back in 2014 when I got the 1330 RT. I previously owned 08, 09, 10, and 11 998 twins. Better gas mileage (10 mpg average) less maintenance, no $1K valve checks, and quieter operation.

One advantage of the 998's though is they can be purchased for much less.

Let us know what you decide.

So, bottom line is that all 2015 RT's have the 1330 engine?

That is correct - ALL 2015 RT's have the 1330 engine!

Wellll, unless maybe someone got a little motivated & changed the motor AFTER it left the factory.... :dontknow: . So maybe I should more correctly say that ALL the 2015 RT's that BRP released for sale to the General Public left the factory with the 1330 motor.

Too many freakin' choices! I did find this 2015 Rt SE with 20k miles (asking $12K)but didn't know which engine it had. What's nice about it is that it's in SC. Taxes on an out of state vehicle transferring to SC are atrocious.

Based on what I see here (upstate NY/Rochester), that is a good price for a '15 with 20k. There's a red one for sale at a dealer that has 48k with 4 months of warranty left for $14k (been for sale for awhile). I know you would prefer to buy in-state, but if you want to consider other states, Motomember is a huge Can Am dealer in Leesburg, VA that has a large selection of used Spyders.

I saw that for sale on a facebook add. That is a very good deal for a SE6. Keep in mind that the one in your picture is a base model RT. It doesn't have the adjustable ride from the seat feature. But it can still be set using the valve under the seat. I had the same bike in a 2014 model, with the SM6. I had added quite a few extras to it to make it more comfortable, and also added lights. The guy who bought mine has been having health issues and his wife is looking to sell. If you would be interested in a SM6 model, let me know and I can get an asking price. I am sold on the SE6, but some prefer the shifting of gears and love the manual version. I love both.

In 2014 BRP did the"Major upgrades to the RT'S, and. came out with the "1330 Ace Engine, low maintenance, better gas mileage, quieter engine, 1200-W alternator, ECO friendly mode, 6 speed, ( SE-6) semi -Automatic.

I bought my current spyder in 2014 brand new.
