• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

DIY Cupholder

Well, I don't have any chrome on my RT, so I decided to remove the chrome Kuryakyn cupholder I modified last year with one of the black plastic type I bought a few months back. The ones I bought are the clamp on type. The wife's works great on the passenger grab rails, but it wouldn't fit the handlebars....So I put it in a drawer in my shop until I had the thought to REMOVE the clamp, cut off the top section and install it in the same place I had the Kuryakyn mounted....And behold, it works....Looks better (to me) because it blends in with the rest of the black on the SpYder!

First pic is the cupholder as purchased, the second is of the modified cupholder. Enjoy!!

Yes just the single bolt...So far it stays put

I did the same thing but also wrapped the white spacer with black tape to make it less noticeable. I also wrapped a black zip-tie around the handlebar in that seam between the silver metal and the black plastic instrument cluster housing. I then wrapped a zip-tie horizontally around the lower portion of the vertical center piece of the cup holder & then through the zip-tie on the handlebar. Once they were good and tight and excess trimmed, and with the 'head' of each zip-tie discreetly hidden, you could hardly tell it was there. The black zip-tie around the handlebar looked like it fit in that seam. This made the whole cup holder much more stable.
