• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Distance to Gatlinburg?

Just wondering, how far are people coming from to make the Gatlinburg trip? I’m not going to make it this year (still waiting on my spyder) but live 5 hours from Gatlinburg….and I thought that is a long haul but read a post of someone coming all the way from Ohio! Good to see that sort of support for a spyder get together. I think the rider who does the longest trip should get a special prize!

6.5 hours away. Leaving tomorrow morning around 9. I believe some peeps are coming from San Diego..I am sure they take the cake on the furthest trip this time.

There is a group of us from Michigan. I personally traveled from 10 am to 7 pm on Monday, including fuel and food stops. We then rode from 8 am to 3 pm on Tuesday when we arrived at our motel. That included a longer stop at Bushtec to check out their trailers and hitch, a nice lunch break and a stop at the Corbin trailer.

BJT did you get your F1 slider? Was wondering what you thought if you did. Still nothing at my end as he told me 8 to 10 days

Sure did. Its not as quiet on the expressway as my EVO II was but it is still very good. It is actually the quietest on the expressway with the slider all the way up and the face shield on my full face helmet raised. Must be the design of the helmet that adds to the wind noise with the shield closed. Also, at full height there is a touch of wind in my face, enough to keep me comfortable on warm days. It won't be the perfect windshield for everyone but, if I had to choose just one windshield, this would be it for me. It looks good in the fully lowered position and it gives a comfortable ride while fully lowered and fully raised gives added wind protection and decreased wind noise.

All you folks heading to Gatilinberg or in Gatlinberg Enjoy the trip and ride safe!!!! I wanna see lots of Spyder Pics when you return!!!!! I really wish i could have made it out there but work just wouldn't give me the time off :-(
