• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Disconnecting battery

I'm going to disconnect the battery briefly to hook up the pigtail for the Battery Tender. Any issues with the ECM that I need to worry about? Any precautions to take?

Thanks

Pam

Gosh, I hope not... I wired up some things recently and disconnected the battery. I will be curious to know the answer to this one too.

Take key out of ignition before you disconnect battery and you should be good to go.

You know, that's actually something I didn't even think of. I usually keep the key in it when it's in the garage. Thank you for that advice!

Help me out. Why take out the key if the key is in the off position? Just curious... just replace my battery and didn't pull the key out during the battery switch. I have a 2010 RT and the battery is buried under the seat and it took me awhile to make the switch.
