• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Disappointed at the Chicago Motorcycle show

I was hoping to get a good look at the Spyders and see how the wife liked them but Can Am didn't have a presence at the show. Normally the local dealer has a booth but they were absent this year too.

BRP isn't doing them anymore. Must be really expensive to be there. They will probably loose some sales because of it.

Yep I was there yesterday also-veery disappointed- shocked they wouldn’t have shown the Ryker! But Trikermotha, I hope one of wins that night vision camera- saw your name above mine for the raffle sign-up. Haha

Sad....

But yeah they have not gone to any shows for a couple years now. I think they have replaced shows with Demo days across the country. Many dealers that were at the show probably got some help from BRP and no longer do. So the demo days really help them when they come around. Our chapter for SRA has helped out here in deep south California....:dontknow:

Wow not sure what I would be winning since I have no idea what you are talking about :roflblack:

They were not at the Minneapolis show, had some Spyders brought by local dealers. Rumor has it that the Minneapolis show is all done and that this was the last year. Time will tell.

They did attend the AIMExpoin Las Vegas in October. They had their entire line up at that show, but there aren’t many attendees at it like there are at the Progressive shows.

Trikermutha, The company that was selling or should I say asking for deposits on their night vision camera that won't be ready to ship for a couple of months! I saw your name above mine on their contest entry list. Can't remember the name of the company right now- I'll look tomorrow when I check out my goodie bag of cards and literature.

same thing happening in the auto industry. BMW/Mini and Cadillac have pulled out of many of the auto shows to focus on more personalized events. Seems to be the trend. Not a good one for folks like me that enjoy a good bike or auto show. Although I do enjoy the Cadillac events they do each year near me. Very well done.

Hmmmm. I wasn't at the show this year.

I went to the Timonium (MD) bike show earlier this month and Motosports of Hanover, PA was there. The bike show this year was put on by Jam On Productions, the people that had originally put the show on did not do it this year. What a shame! If Jam On continues to be the presenter, I won't be going anymore.

At the St. Louis, Missouri car and truck show several weeks ago there were lots of Spyders there, even the Ryker. BRP was not there, the Spyders were from dealerships throughout the state. Maybe the dealerships around the Chicago area were not interested in promoting their Spyders. Or maybe the weather was to blame for their lack of attending and showing their products.
