• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Dirty clutch fluid !

I have been getting what appears to be little peaces of black rubber or something in the clutch fluid. Reseach done on this board sounds like I will have to rebuild or replace some of the clutch hydraulic parts like now before I end up having to replace every thing to do a complete clutch job. Sounds like a bad o ring in the clutch servo. I do not think I will replace clutch plates thats another $300. Plan is to clean out hydraulic system and rebuild servo and replace handle bar unit. Hope I do not need a clutch disc pack.

Your slave cylinder is failing. Flushing will provide temporary relief, but eventually it will fail altogether. The O-rings deteriorate first, and then the aluminum in the slave cylinder scores and wears off. The black color is actually mostly aluminum particles. Have your dealer replace the slave, both halves of it plus the o-rings. This does not require replacement of the clutch, but if you ride with the bad slave long enough, it may affect the clutch due to incomplete disengagement. If your dealer is unsure of this, have him contact Wausau. Just had mine replaced for the same issue.

Only the SM has a manual (hydraulic) clutch.
