• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Dimming display?

I've read the owner's manual. Is there some way to dim the display? It's distracting at night being so bright.

Alas, there is no way to dim the display. You could apply a very lightly tinted film, or an anti glare film, over the display panel to achieve the same effect. Unscrew your gauge pod and it would be easy to place your diffusion film on the screen's plexi surface.
Just a thought.

Sorry about the mis information. I had completely forgotten that you can dim the screen contrast. Ironically, I now vaguely remember fooling with this feature the first week I got the RT back in 2010. I have officially gone from getting old to being old.:banghead:

Oh Yes There Is

If you have an RT you CAN control the CONTRAST of the LCD screen. Push MODE & toggle down to SET over to CONTRAST & then UP or DOWN to suit your lighting desires. 100% is full bright & you can go all the way down to 0 & even tho its 0 its still bright enough to see. I usually keep mine set at 40% & that works well for me in daylight or at night. Hope this is what your looking for & it helps
