• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Digital Tire pressure gauge - any ideas where to find replacement?

I have to disagree with you on this point, the air pressure in your front tires especially need to be checked often for a good ride and proper tire wear.

Notice the word "SO" in my post. The point I was trying to make is this: Sometimes it seems that some of the old timers on this site make the Spyder to be the most maintenance intensive thing on the road. For instance this thread....

While I agree that air pressure in one's tires is important, a half pound here or there ain't gonna make a hill of beans worth of difference in the handling or the longevity of the tire. (I seriously doubt if all but a very small minority of the folks on this forum ride their Spyder to the full the extent where the EXACT SAME pressure in the front tires is going to matter at all) Check it as often as you like, doesn't really matter to me.

There was also a recent post about valve clearances with some folks sermonizing about how important it is for the clearances to be checked at each service. Just because the book says so? The books are basically written to protect the manufacturer. (ie. the safety placard) True valve clearanc is important, but IMHO, unless you are deaf you'll hear some valve clatter before any permanent damage is done. Granted, this time you had better get it fixed. Once again, how many of us are running our spuders to the fullest extent ppossible?

Amen.

Lost my pressure gauge. I like the gauge that came with the RT. Looking for a replacement. Any one have a idea where I may find one. If BRP had it I would probably have to buy the total tool kit. Left it on seat and took a test ride. Bob
