• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Different Take on Zumo Mount

I wanted to mount my Zumo 665 (an early birthday present from my lovely wife ) up high, but didn't want it on top of the dash so I did this--

The Zumo sits a little low, but as I am only 5'10", it barely blocks the very top icons on the info screen when I am seated.

I also wired it into the Spyder by cutting off the OEM plug and making my own 3.5mm adapter. The Zumo turns on and shuts off with the key, and the audio plays through the speakers.

I mounted the GPS antenna under the trim piece in the frunk.

I mounted Ram balls Lamont style, and hung a cup holder.
Now if my Corbin and Elkas ever show up I might be able to button this baby up and go for a ryde!!

Pic of Antenna

I could not put the antenna pic in the last post, so here it is. Do you experts think this mounting will work? The Garmin manual says it can be covered by something as long as it is non-metallic .

Also a longer shot of the wiring.

Whatever works for your situation is the way to do it. I still don't have the GPS off of RSV yet, so when I get around to that it may appear on the Spyder. Until then I'll just point it down a road and see what is there
