There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. I moved my BMW NAV 5 GPS from the R1200GS to the Spyder RT and it fits perfectly. It has a 5" screen. Can anyone suggest a downside to using the bigger GPS? Thanks for your responses.

Hi..seems you read my mind....tell me does the Nav V fits on the RT cradle? I used to have a 2014 R1200RT LC and due to the recall I am returning the bike so I have the Nav V available and wondering if it could be connected to the Zumo 660 cradle that is included in the bike. If you have any pics pls post it if you don´t mind. In advance thank you for your help!!!.. Best regards from México!

It fits perfectly and seems to work fine. Actually it is almost the same size as the Zumo except that the NAV 5 has a smaller frame that allows for the 5" screen.

Interesting, bc the Nav 5 has the ability to connect to the Iphone and with an app gives other functions on the GPS. Now and since I don´t have the Spyder yet, when you connect the ZUmo (original that comes on the Y) does the sound on the stereo speakers or is strictly via bluetooth on the helmet, if yes, I am wondering if the NAV 5 will sound on the Y too.....questions and more questions...now, which bike do you like to ride better the GS or the Y?...today they took my RT back to the dealer...:sour:

I never use the radio or phone so I have not checked. I like the NAV 5 because of the screen size. I vastly prefer the GS and other bikes. I suspect that my new RT is not long for me. I have operated it for a few minutes and there is no doubt that it is comfortable but it won't work for me in the long run. I probably will not ride it again. I am looking at the KTM equivalent of the GS as it appears to be well sorted out and IMO, KTM has better quality control than BMW.
