• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Differences RS and ST

This question may sound dumb to those with the knowledge, but not for a wannbe. I see the similarities between the ST and the RS, Same frame, same engine, same tires. I have read that the seat is even interchangeable. To me it looks as if most differences are cosmetic, but the price is quite a bit different. I have only sat on an RS and I recognize that the handlebar position is unique, but many riders change this anyway. I have test ridden the RT, the ST and even the F3 but never the RS. Really enjoyed them, and actually enjoyed the twin engine more than the triple.

I just found this post which answers most of my own questions. http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=80401 If anyone has and thing additional please feel free to add.

The main difference is riding position, ST = cruiser like, more upright; RS = sport bike like, pegs are higher and more towards the rear.
Also the ST has an adjustable windshield, RS does not.

Let's see..!!

The ST was designed to fill the gap between the RS and RT. It is more RS than anything but the seating position is more RT. They also have the RT type windshield and more options you can get for your touring comfort. Granted you can mod an RS into an ST quite easily...

It's in the Ergonomics...
