• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

OK, so after all the advice on here, as I said earlier, I ordered a Can Am Spyder RT LTD from Parklands North East UK. It's a 3-hour drive from my home in Worksop Notts, UK. Today they sent me a few pics as it was being unboxed, I think next Wed it will be delivered to me so I can start the learning curve, moving from 2 wheels to 3... Mmm.

That's the left side, of course! Just like ours here in Oz. ;) You really don't wanta get sprung on the wrong side of the road, do you?? :rolleyes:

Hi, if you look at youtube@flapjackandbeans - my youtube channel, you will see it's a great dish - warm flapjacks very slightly; then put HOT BAKED BEANS on top! Sometimes I even have a fried egg and a strip of bacon too! Lovely... Give it a go.

Ah, the British obsession with beans for breakfast. :2thumbs:

I'm from the USA, and some years back I traveled to Greenwich in the UK, and the hotel served a Full English Breakfast, which included "baked beans".

For my American neighbors, the English baked beans are not the same as what we think of as baked beans.
They are closer in flavor to pork and beans.
 
Hi. Yes, when we come to USA we have many, many, similar but not the same things - that's good, it makes it fun. We could have a full day just comparing the words we speak differently in what has been called the 'Queens English'. LOL

OK, so as you may have seen on here, I took lots of advice and stuff and ordered myself a 2024 Spyder RTL. It was delivered yesterday, and the weather was nice here in the UK - 80°F in your language. On that point, I can't find any way of making the TEMP read in Celcius. I shaped the speedo to English MPH but can't change temp?!
I had a little 30-mile ride, and I think I have a lot more to learn. I kept looking for the front brake lever on the bars and trying to put my feet down at junctions! I also hit the horn a few times, instead of the gear shift. PLEASE... does anyone know why when I open the phone to make or receive a call into my Sena SRL3 headset, it sounds like Darth Vader, with the voice draaaaaggginggg along as if its on the wrong hertz? The Sena is up to date; the iPhone is up to date; the Spyder is up to date...

Maybe try only hooking the iphone to the bike. Then use the sena via BT to the iphone. Yes there are issues with the Sena units. I stopped using the Sena 50S BT to the 2023 and 2024 spyders and use then just MESH to each other. One of them is BT to my Samsung Note 20 5g phone so we get Google Maps directions. Dont even need to hook up the phone to the spyders.

Does the Sena SRL3 headset have MESH? that works well to connect to other Sena units when riding in a pack.

Dont put the phone in the little pocket below the screen, It gets too hot in there.

As far as it comes to packs I have yet been able to use my sena mesh on my 50R most groups I have run into are using the cardo packtalks.

Hi, I got it sorted. I paired the Sena as a second mobile phone, and it all works now, I've just got to sort the seat and I'll see if it's a keeper, as I'm just not feeling the love yet. I'm in the stage of "Feck me what have I done?" LOL
