• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Diamond R Floorboards - Finally! - Great Effort From Allen at Diamond R!

I've been looking at floorboards for a while and don't like the 'industrial' look most of them have. I like the Vertika boards but at $1800 unpainted I wasn't going to jump at a purchase not know how they would feel riding with them. So just to try them out I ordered Inspector Gadget boards since they were fairly inexpensive. They have the 'industrial' look I don't like, but it was just a trial. (they will be available in the for sale board soon) I decided they really were much better than the rider pegs alone. Then before springing for the Vertikas, along comes the Diamond R boards. :ohyea: They looked pretty good on the web site, but no one here had posted anything about them and I wanted to see them so I could check them out. I tracked Allen down at the Owner's Event and got a good look at them. I liked what I saw :2thumbs: so ,after getting this close up look at the owner's event while I was at Lamont's BBQ I ordered a set of Diamond R boards for rider and passenger with highway pegs. :shemademe_smilie: About 2 weeks later they arrived and I couldn't wait to get them installed. However, when I opened the large box I found both rider boards had suffered damage in shipping. I was really bummed out and contacted Allen at Diamond R right away. To my surprise he answered my email within minutes (after 11 PM eastern time). After exchanging a few more emails and some photos of the damage Allen had me send back only the damaged boards. I expressed my urgency of having the boards before this weekend as the wife and I are planning a short road trip and I have a 2000 mile road trip beginning the 1st of August. That was about a week and a half ago.

In the interim I installed the passenger boards and highway pegs. They look really great on the bike. Now for the rider boards.......

Since sending back the damaged boards Allen has been in contact with me daily, with constant updates on having a new set made and trying to get them back in time for my road trip. :2thumbs: Last night when I go home the box with the replacement boards was sitting on my front porch. Inside was a well packed set of replacement boards and a completed cash refund of my shipping cost to send the damaged ones back! :ohyea: The new boards look great sitting on my dining room table. :dontknow: I plan on installing them as soon as I get home this evening.

Allen and Diamond R are a class act and customer service is outstanding!:clap::clap:

Pictures to follow after installation is complete.

Believe this is what we have been waiting on. Thanks and hope installation goes well for ya.

Diamond R Floorboards/Highway Pegs

DSCN0853 (2).jpgThese are my Diamond R Floorboards and Highway Pegs. I was fortunate enough to get the first set at Spyderfest in April! I absolutely love them!! I have had so many complements regarding them. The paint matches perfect, they look like they came from the factory. I've said it many times...Diamond R has great products and Allen and Patti are great people!!:2thumbs:

Wow,wow, wow is all I can say. Don't know which I like better the seat or the floorboards. Gotta run down to the dock and see if my ship came in! lol

Just got home from a 400 mile day and a half ride with the new floor boards. :ohyea: Two thing I noticed were; 1) how much more comfortable the ride is when you have multiple places to put your feet, and 2) when you stand back and look at the bike it's easy to see the Diamond R boards add a new level of class to the look of the Spyder.

Looking great Dr. Buck!!,
I have been enjoying mine now for about 2 weeks, and
have finally gotten use to the slight change in foot positions with these vs.
the other floorboards I had on. Have not taken any good photos yet as I
have been too busy. Think I am gonna adjust the peg up just a notch, but
find I hardly use it, but I have not been on a ride longer than 50 miles one
way yet, so that could change. My most favorite foot position where I find
the most natural comfort is on the top board, loving it:yes::yes::yes:
