• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Diamond R Armrests... FINALLY!

Well after waiting WAAAAYYYYY....... too long to get these beauties, I finally pulled the trigger! They arrived yesterday morning, which meant that the rest of the day was completely shot!
4:00pm... rear open the box; not too many parts so that has to be a very good thing!
"Unhook the seat support"... GULP! Hey! It came loose just the way they said it would!
Grab that honkin' big bracket the mounts up under the seat and pitch it in there to see if it fits...
Okay... turn it around and see if it's any better... BINGO! ;)
Remove the four bolts that are being replaced... Those two on the outside are a real :cus: to get to!
Okay... Now it's time to start throwing parts at the bike and seeing what sticks!
The two long inner bolts were easy-peasy! :2thumbs:
Oops! Now loosen them up a bit so thatyou can line up those two outer bolts! :gaah:
Tighten everything down JUST short of pulling a muscle or snapping a bolt... :yikes:
Now slip the armrests into the bracket, line them up so that they sit level and tighten them down...
And try again because they ain't level
Maybe the 3rd time will be the charm...
Got 'em!
Now for the ride...
We've got one that's just a bit on the loose side, so I'll tighten it up and we should be good to go! The Missus didn't feel at all claustrophobic or locked in and she was able to reach the OEM grab rails with little extra effort. She's got to figure out how to get leaned over into a turn yet, but so far; so good!
Oh! I also got an email from Allen & Patti... It seems that they charged me too much for shipping so they're sending me back a bit over 9 dollars... When's the last time that you had a vendor do that for you?? :firstplace:
These folks have a great product and are honest almost to a fault... What more could you ask for???
Thanks Allen and Patti!

Allen & Patti

Looks grreat Bob! I got mine a couple of weeks ago, just haven't had a chance to install them yet. I will post some pics once I do. Yes Allen and Patti are fantastic to deal with!

you never cease to amaze robert! :roflblack::roflblack:....i can't talk the missus into trying them...:dontknow:

We always had a set on our 'Wing after the "Vermont Napping Episode..."

With Tink onboard; she wanted something to sort of help contain her and her "sack".
These armrests don't lock in place, so you can move them our of the way if the World feels as if it's closing in on you... :yikes:
We took a quick hop (95 miles) this morning and she felt very comfy with them in place...

Arm rest

Bob thanks for posting the arm rest pics and your commentary. This will be the first thing I do to my RT S SE5 .
The wife is a little on the short side 5'4" these look like they will work well for her. I just broke 2400 miles today.
Thanks Gary
