Diameter of handlebars

I have been research asking BRP, 2 dealers and looking on the web.

BRP told me to ask the dealer which told me they think 7/8" and 1". Online research seems to say they are 1".

I am trying to determine the size to see if the handlebar risers that fit the 2012 and earlier models will fit the 2013 RS.

Does anyone know what the diameter of the handlebars?

Thanks Lamonster, are the handlebars for the 2009-2013 the same size? They changed the handlebars for the 2013 from a full length rod to 2 separate bars, which I am sure you are aware. I am just looking for that warm and fuzzy feeling from having the needed information.

If you need more height on your 2013 RS, why not check out a set of bars off an ST? They would basically sit the same height as a set of riser bars, but look soo much better

From what I have heard they would add about 2" instead of 4", but even so where would I get a set of them and how much?

I paid $166.00 for the handlebar, plus you will need to buy the ST plastic bottom covers. I bought mine from BRP online.

Yeah, there is enough length. I started a thread on this in Spyder shop talk back on 5/13/13.
