• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does anyone know if there will be a vendor at the upcoming Maggie Valley rally that can turn off my Dess. Would really like to get this done and never have to worry about it.

Thanks.

You might give these guys a call. They are located in Kodak, TN (near Sevierville, TN). Not sure if they do it or not.

tommy's in crossville won't either, local dealer in louisville's service manager didn't know what dess was, i got him to ask a mechanic and he said no.

If you are ever in ct or nearby i can do it.. Or after i build our place in south carolina i will be down there prob about a year

Thanks everyone for the replies. I'll keep checking otherwise I may have to wait a year and take Jim up on his offer.

I think Spyderpops can do this. His shop is an easy ride from Maggie Valley. I would contact Harvey and see if he can and is available to do this for you.

I assume you mean Maggie Valley, NC. Spyderpops is a long way from there. It's probably 10-12 hours. However, Spyderspops was at the Maggie Valley rally last year. You might check with them and see if they are going this year and if they can do it at the rally.

I bought a 2014 from Mountain Motor sports in Kodak..they told me they never heard of the DESS issue showd them all I knew about it and part numbers etc. they had bike about 3 weeks and still did not have the new parts. Picked bike up Tues after labor day went to Nixa,Mo and had it disabled and some other work that I wanted done. They completed everything in 3 hours
Then back on my way home. They even cleaned up some of the wiring that Mountain Motor sports had done. They used scotchloks which is not good..All the extra lights that I had mountain Motor sorts add were all plug and play.
Not sure why they used what they did.
But at least now I ride with out worrying about DESS

Thanks

Roger
