• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Well between the new F3 and Glo’s RT we just got home from a 927 mile trip (X2 Spyder Miles) and while we stopped many times to enjoy the SkyLine Drive Vistas and get gas and get food and to stop and just talk to folks neither Spyder missed a beat.

Should I apply to the Guiness Book of Records, or is this pretty much normal for these machines?

Guinness might be interested if I added 5 or six zeros.

Through rain so hard it hurt, fog so thick it fell off into the road with a thunk.

70mph a lot. More when we could.
Starts.
Stops.

The things ran like champs.
Like most all do.

 I think that there's something seriously wrong with both of your bikes.
If you don't get them back to the Dealer for a visit soon; there's no telling what might happen! nojoke

What am I sayin? I've gone 12,945 miles on my 2014, and it has yet to complain about anything to me... :opps:

I hear ya Bob!
I like to refer to my Spyder as a Wednesday Spyder.
Wasn't built on a Monday after a hard weekend of drinking nor on a Friday in anticipation of a hard weekend of drinking! :roflblack:
24,000 kms without so much as burning a 1/4 oz of oil.
This Spyder and the one before it (2012 RT-L) have never had one lick of trouble. :firstplace:

Roger, I'm glad you had a good trip. 927 miles for me is 2 easy riding days. Multiply your 927 x 82 and that is how many error free miles I have on my 14 RT.

Thankfully, you had a great trip with no issues. I find it sad that a "nothing broke down" thread even has to be posted. In no other Forum on the planet will you see a thread, "I rode/drove my "X" and nothing went wrong".

When you can't assume on a "trip" that there is no more than a 1% chance of some issue, including a flat tire or maybe bad weather etc, the product is flawed. (not counting the bad weather of course)

I haven't owned all of the various bikes/cars/etc that many of you have owned, but I have never walked out and got in or on one and thought "God, I hope I get there and back without any issues".

Talking with Murphy Brown after she got her new F3T and was headed out for 3K miles back home, I asked "Aren't you concerned about any issues with a new bike". Her reply "Hell no, if something happens I'll call for help". Bear in mind most of her trip was by herself, trust me this lady has a set.:clap:

I apparently didn’t make my point very well.
So I guess I’ll have to spell it out.

The thread was not started to celebrate some endurance run for a paltry 927 miles.
That’s a mere drop in the bucket.

The point was this.
People drive Spyders all over the place and don’t give a thought to the reliability issue because they are reliable.

I got tired of seeing threads that were started by folks who were considering a Spyder but were stopped in their tracks because of the way the internet magnifies problems.

So this Murphy Brown woman of whom you speak, she probably only takes her Spyder to church on Sundays.

Ought Oh !!!

So this Murphy Brown woman of whom you speak, she probably only takes her Spyder to church on Sundays...........................Now you're gonna get it ....:roflblack::roflblack:

Give me an hour to check tire pressures, oil and coolant levels, and get packed: I'd take off for the "Left Coast" anytime!
(That the Missus would LET me!)

2014 RTS SE6 with a problem

Hate to be the one to put the blemish on the spyder with no issues. My 2014 RTS SE6 was dropped off at the dealership on April 19th for it's April 20th appointment for total loss of coolant from radiator coolant container. And no, it wasn't the container leaking. As of today, May 27th, I still haven't got the bike back and don't know when I will get it back. I stopped at the dealer today and was informed that the head gasket recently came in and now there trying to make room to get it in for the fix. Mileage on odometer just over 19,000. Up until now, it also ran flawlessly.
Not complaining, but for what it's worth, that's my story.
