• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Think of it this way. You did not buy two toys. You paid tuition for two boys. You and your wife can now make touring a educational game for the boys.
History
Map Reading
Geography
Architecture
Agriculture
Mechanics
Etc.
Let them do some of the research and planning of rides.
You will all have a great time.
We await the report of your first adventure and what the boys say they learned.

Making memories with your kids and wife that will last a lifetime, is priceless. That you will make memories on Spyders, is even better.

Enjoy!!!

P.S. I purchased a base '14 RT last week and love it!!!!

Good ideas Roger, they're at a good age to start getting involved with the planning of road trips.

Thanks Barbara, congrats on your new purchase.

I've picked a couple of bits up on ebay for the Spyder, having two in black we're going our seperate ways with farkles. My wife 'Janey' has recently registered but not posted yet, she's checking out graphics and wants footboards, me I've picked up a pair of RTS wheels as new and new black handlebars from an RTS that upgraded to tri axis, both from the states. My plan is to change all the silver its to black! Also managed to find a brand new semi rigid rear bag in the uk for £20 including postage brand new which is like $30!!

Thanks
Nito

Thanks Dubld, loving your blue one. It's funny you called it blue thunder, I was thinking of an airwolf theme for mine, have a couple of ideas. You need a yellow 02 graphic on your panniers to complete the look!!

Thank you.

Here is our first sneak preview, Spyders arrived today and in the process of being built up, you can see the second one poking its face out in the picture!

:congrats: :2thumbs:
Question: Those are "Base" RT models; aren't they?
They appear to have the foglights in them, that are available on the RT-S and Limited models over here... Is that what they are, or is that part of a "European Market only" lighting package? :dontknow:

It is indeed the base model, however the lights on all of ours are the same. No foglamps on any UK models, something to do with homologation, we have high or low in the cowl and the opposite down there where the fogs are on yours from my understanding. I was under the impression the base model ran brembos but can't see it in the pics, shows brembos in brp brochure, can anyone confirm?

cheers
Nito

Thanks Bob,

to answer your earlier question, our main beam is where your foglights normally are, and the full beam/flash lights are in the cowl.

Kind regards
Nito
