• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I just received a mailing from BRP letting me know that the Can-Am Spyder Demo Tour will be visiting my local dealer. They will be at Motosports in Hanover, PA on Tuesday April 7th. I have already registered for my demo ride on a F3!!! If anyone is interested in a demo ride you can schedule one on www.tryspyder.com.

No matter how good the F3 is, I'll be keeping my RT!! At least that is what the wife says!!

Ryde on over on April 7th! I'm scheduled to ryde at 2:00.
Hmm, It'd be a 100 mile ride for me (a bit over 2 hours with Route 30 traffic), and there is a BRP demo scheduled in Macungie (Blackman's) the following month - only 20 minutes away. BUT a trip over there just may be an enjoyable way to spend the day. :D I'll sleep on it, and get back to you.

I ran into my dealers spouse at the store yesterday. She said that they have an F3 on the floor. I am going to make a visit to the dealer on Wednesday the 25th (only 9 months till Christmas), and do a test sit.:popcorn::popcorn:

Rob, did you know there is a new Spyder Club at the Ephrata dealer? Called Susquehanna Valley Spyder Ryders! My wife and I have joined the club. It's only been in existence for about 3 months. Meets the first Tuesday evening (7:00) of the month. Next meeting is April 7th!

Is that at Hollingers?

The demo tour on April 7th is at Motosports in Hanover. Rob says there will also be one at Hollingers sometime in May. I didn't know about that one.

Nope, I was referring to the one at Blackman's in Macungie, PA (south of Allentown). I have no idea why I said Ephrata - must have been a brain fart. Hollinger's tried to get the BRP tour to stop at one of their stores, but unfortunately, they were not successful. Sorry to confuse everybody here. :opps:

However, speaking of Hollinger's in Ephrata... YES I do know about the new riding club. I was at the third meeting last week and joined. We talked about some of us getting together for the SpyderQuest trip, so maybe you guys want to look at that too. The group is putting together a Meet-Up site (like the Maryland group has), and rides will be listed there.

Dang!!

Dang Rob, I wish I knew you were there! We were there also. I'm the bearded guy who brought one of the proposed patches and mentioned the CMA at the end of the meeting. Maybe you'll be at the April 7th meeting.

Dang is right!! Wish they'd done introductions of the group - wouldn't have taken long, there wasn't that many there. I was sitting one or two rows in front of you - the guy who didn't want an arachnid on the patch. :spyder: I'll be at the April meeting if I'm in town.
