• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Delivery info

Well, I called the dealer today and found out from BOSSWEB that my Yellow Spyder is due to arrive the last week of September - yeah! :2excited::clap:Apparently the date has been slipped a couple times nationwide due largely to the fact that we have been ordering more Spyders than BRP expected. They have added an additional shift to the assembly line and orders are being filled faster. Also, the shipments are sent out one at a time - ie they do not wait until any one dealer has sold "X" number of Spyders before they ship them out. That was nice to hear:yes: -- I can only hope it is true. But at any rate, end of Sep falls within the original 4-6 week delivery schedule, so I am not whining yet. Just thought I would pass on this info.

Thanks for passing that along…it’s encouraging news! I have been waiting 17 days so far and all my dealer is telling me is sometime before OCT 31.:banghead:

I hope you get it sooner. Since I recently decided to get one, I figured I'd wait for next year's model and pre-order early. At that rate, there'd be snow all over the place when I would get mine!!!

Another 7 months to wait! I know, I'm pathetic!!!

I swear to god I'll sleep on that thing when I get it.

Ordered mine July 3rd. I have not been bugging my dealer much, either. But, I'm now getting really anxious! Of course, after getting my motorcycle license a couple of weeks ago, I was at the dealer that weekend taking their demo out for a test ride (3 times :)). And, now, that I have my HJC helmet, I'm ready to do that again!

It would be sooooo nice if my dealer were to call me today to tell me my Spyder has arrived!! It's supposed to be here this month. And, mine is the next one due in. :)

There is a dealer in Rancho Cordova, CA, a suburb of Sacramento that has Silver and Yellows on the floor ready to go. All are SM5's Out the door price is around $18,000. They aren't cheap here in la la land...

Checked with my dealer today to get an update on my Red SM5. I was expecting to take delivery by the end of September. They checked on Bossweb and it was pushed out into October. Anyhow, they contacted the BRP sales rep and they said delivery would be in the 1st week of October. I guess I will just have to be more patient. I know it will be worth the wait!

Ordered red SE on July 3; arrivrd last Fri..Waiting for Corbin seats, bags and fender to come in this week. Should be ready for delivery next week. Would like to thank all of you for the great info. you provide for new-bes like me.

My Yellow SE5 also has been pushed into October but they declined to say when in October :dontknow:

Well......Dealer called me today ( makes me worry when that happens ) and told me the bad news. There is a delay due to production not keeping up with demand. My expected delivery of 4th week of Sept is slipped to Oct. The system just shows Oct delivery, but not when in Oct. So.......I'm kinda bummed - I am really looking forward to getting my Spyder. Have to wait a little longer I guess. At least it is a semi known date, not like some of you folks who waited for a year or more.

Ordered my Silver SE5 today (9/17).
Delivery by 10/31/08.
FYI - when the dealer was on the computer he mentioned that Red is sold out. If you don't have one on order already, ???

The message my dealer got last Friday on the Red SM5 I ordered in July was 08 Red SM5's are sold out, but also found out none were ever shipped and all Red SM5's will be 09's for delivery starting in October.

It is very frustrating waiting and anticipating receiving/for a new toy. I think the most frustrating part is the inconsistency in delivery dates versus order dates. I haven't figured out yet how those who ordered many months (over 6 months) ago are yet to receive while some who've ordered more recently (within 60 days) have already received. It's also frustrating how inconsistent the dealers that sell these machines are. Some keep customers very much in the loop while others such as myself haven't heard one word since I ordered 3 months ago. I come home everyday checking caller ID hoping to see my dealer's number. I've read many times how so many have gone through so many emotions while waiting, anger, frustration, renewed enthusiasm, more anger, more enthusiasm...... I'm in the frustration phase. I'm SERIOUSLY considering just giving up the deposit and getting a brand spanking new bike for 10K less. I thought I could wait it out but I'm having doubts.. also I've read where the 2009's are being pre-ordered.. I wonder since it's so late in year if I will eventually recieve a 2009.. maybe it'll actually be 2009 before it comes.... who knows.....

I'm new here. Just put a deposit on my Silver SM -- think that's what the manual one is called. I don't even know if I'm getting an '08 or an '09!

I was told that no more reds are available at this time.

Apparently, these things are selling like crazy around here.

I was given an "appoximate" delivery date of 60-90 days -- pretty approximate! Well, the riding season is just about over anyway here in Missouri, so the wait time isn't a problem.

This was a sudden decision for me. My husband and I just test rode one yesterday and that was all it took! I'd only been passenger for the last 8 years, haven't driven a bike for 25+ years, but got the bug again in 2006.

I've had a Piaggio MP3 250 since April, 07, which I love, but had trouble holdiing it up at a standstill if it leaned. Soooo, unfortunately for our wallets, about a month ago, we added a Tow-Pac mini trike kit to it. Now I have FIVE wheels on the ground! I can't tip over now, that's for sure, but I'm lacking in power now. Have to take a running start to get up a hill!! The Spyder sure won't have THAT problem!

My husband rides a 2008 Harley Street Glide, and we have a GL1800 Goldwing with a Hannigan trike conversion, (used mostely for trips), so you could say we're "into" motorcycles!

So here I am, an old retired lady, still in shock about my decision, but happy and excited. :2excited: My next task is selling my MP3/Tow-Pac scooter and reading this forum to learn more about my new ride!

Lol!! October is really close! I told ZZ yesterday that honestly, at this point, I was thinking maybe October is more realistic. But, I did talk with my dealer yesterday... and, there is still about 2 weeks remaining in this month. ;)
