• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Delay in shift

New member
I have a 2011 RTS SE-5 and every now and then there is a second or 2 delay in shifting. Seems to happen mostly between 3rd and 4th gear. Does not happen all the time either. I also have the vibration that everyone else has been talking about. About to take her in for the 600 mile service and will tell the dealer about that as well. Anyone have the delayed shift?

see post somewhere else in this section about that exact same issue. I think you needed to shift at a higher RPM point and it goes away.

I have that problem at times shifting from 1st to 2nd. I did find that shifting at a higher rpm stops it

Mine has been in the shop for over 3 weeks for this but mine was between 1 and 2. They said it was a stray voltage getting into the silinoid and allowing it to stay open slightly. :gaah: I hope I get it back soon.

Shifting at higher RPM's will usually cure it, as they are not supposed to be able to upshift below a certain RPM threashold. They are also a bit sensitive as to the oil level, so you need to make sure you are staying on top of that as well.

Not sure its connected, but I also have the delay in shifting gears again
this is intermitten and usually in the lower gears
This has only been apparent since I had the Safety Recall Notice - SE5 Clutch Sticking Engaged Warranty work done

I wondered if others have had this issue before the Clutch recall or since
Just in case there is a new problem and we are increasing the Revs to change gear and masking a new problem when we should be having BRP look further into a potential safety issue

When you accelerate its like a turbo lag without the turbo before the engine picks up - Just worried ref overtaking and losing power at a vital
moment
