• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

December is good time to get service done

Stopped in at Winston-Salem Honda/Can Am dealer today and the folks out front were busy decorating their tree and the showroom. Meanwhile the techs in the service department were not doing too much as "things are really slow" now. I chatted a good while with the mechanic that usually works on mine and ascertained that they are a Platinum dealer, something I had never asked before. I expect this slow situation is pretty widespread this time of year so if any of you are thinking of getting service, this would be the time to do it. :)

Not true where there is premier riding weather, but then again that is a hardship most of us are willing to bear.....

My dealership said they were slow too, they raised the labor rate last month to $125 per hour :barf:

Oil change is now more than $325 for parts and labor, they are charging me $62 to check a coolant
leak, and another $62 to check a short on my accessory lighting on the right wheel well that has my
mud flap and side LED's

They will have the bike 3 days to complete.

They lost two of there spyder mechanics, so the main one will be doing the work rather than
just supervising. So that is comforting, as he put my war horse together, 52k miles ago

My dealer is so busy he sent some work to my son to change out the electric motor for the shield, cause the bracket broke and bearings in the rear wheel, since he was replacing the tire. They are going all out on sleds.

You are lucky. I know when I lived in snow country there was never a down time at the dealer. If they weren't working on jet skis or ATVs then it was snow machines.

You are right..!!

tis the season for assembly and prep...sales overide repairs. The techs will have extra time even in the allweather areas. Now if they are low staffed in the service department you will have trouble getting repairs done. It is a good time to have work done regardless...
