• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just received my new Altimax tire today. Looks good. I want to thank you two for the good rating on this tire. The Kuhmo was a good tire, but wanted to try something different. Think I will like this tire. Bruce

Mine is being delivered tomorrow via FedEx. I'll be mounting it one day next week. I too chose this tire on the recommendation of Mike and Deanna.

:agree:...Your very welcome and I hope it works out for you......I will be 100% honest and admit I have only ridden this tire using Dee's Spyder, in the wet.....I agreed with the test results I had based my recommendation for this tire on.....I felt very secure and I was cranking it a bit :yikes:....I hope Dee misses this post ...... It will probably be my next tire after I wear my Michelin Hydro-Edge out ( it's too bad they stopped production :banghead: on it )............ Mike

Bruce, You are Welcome! I am very happy with the General Altimax RT 43.

The spyder handles great, I am thinking of replacing the front tires with General Altimax RT 43 , when it comes time to replace the fronts. I still have the Originals on the front( I have 10,320 miles).

I am running the altimax RT43 on the rear at 28psi, Mike said that you are running 26psi, did you guys experiment at different psi and if so what were the results that led you to 26.

Also I was going to put the RT43 on the front as well but cannot find ones that would fit on a 2014 RTS to replace the stock tire.

CK 58..I still have my Michelin Hydro-edge 215/60-15 on the rear and go with 21 PSI.....the Altimax has almost the same construction, so this applies as well......It is a tire with much stiffer sidewalls than the OEM Kenda......The Spyder doesn't weigh 4,000 lbs so it doesn't need a lot of PSI to hold it up with an Altimax tire....It will ride better ( softer ) ( traction, wet & dry ) with a lower PSI................................................ .As far as the RT43 for the front I no longer give an opinion on this.......there is to much controversy for me...Sorry......Mike

I had a can am dealer install the RT43, and they put in 32psi, mike let some air out. Mike recommended me running 26 psi.

Good luck finding the RT43 for your 2014RTS. Let me know where you find the RT43 Tire for your front tires. Deanna
