• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Dealership issues

I have been trying for weeks to get my Spyder into a dealership for the recall and all of them are telling me they are backed up and I will have to wait a few more weeks so I e-mailed BRP about this and I am just waiting for a response.

BACKED UP

I hope BRP can help, but if all the dealers in the area are backed up doing the conversion on the '13 RT's, plus other Spyder service work, and if they also service other brands, there may not be much you can do. We are right in the middle of riding season. My dealer sells and services only BRP but they are close to a large public lake in GA and get backed up with service on SeaDoo jet skis this time of year.

Yup!
It stinks; but sometimes a bit of patience can go a long way...
Would you prefer that they rush the job on somebody else's bike, and do it wrong?
Good Luck!

Dealers

If you could find a dealer around Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, etc. that could get you in very soon, could you trailer your Spyder there?

They won't set an appointment yet, they said they would call me and it has been a few weeks already.

Don't rely on them calling you. Just keep calling the service manager with "friendly reminders". I'll bet it won't take too many calls before he'll fit you in. Also get him to preorder the kit for you now.

I think its most repair shops that are backed up.My Seadoo repair shop is 10 days backed up.Nothing we can do.Yes it sucks

My dealer has a list of everyone that bought a 13' RT from them and they are getting serviced in order of when they called about the recall. If someone calls that didn't purchase their spyder from them they go to the end of the list.

I had mine done, dealer wanted 2 days, end up taking 5.I think a lot of dealers are nervous about doing this rework. The outcome was great! The Scoops look like the belong there and the topper ware, gas tank cool! Just be patient, I have to admit I was frustrated with the dealer for taking so long, but at the end of the day was satisfied!
