• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

DEALER UPDATE IN GARMIN GPS ZUMO 660 AND ZUMO 590 FROM BRP WEBSITE:

Thanks!
Question: is this one of those things, where we need to have our GPS plugged into our computer? :dontknow:
(Sorry... I'm too new, to this technology! :opps:)

Yes Bob, you have to plug your GPS in your computer and download the new dealers file in your GPS. You also have to follow a simple procedure well described on the BRP website.

Browser

You may have to use the Chrome browser to download the file from the BRP website. I tried it using Internet Explorer and the download link took me to a text page.

Update?

Well, I installed the update and then checked the accuracy of the updated dealer list in the Chicagoland area. Right off the bat I found 3 dealers listed in the GPS update that are either no longer in business or don't advertise being a Spyder dealer on their website. Doesn't seem to be a current/accurate update to me. Maybe someone else can also check the accuracy of the update and let us know what they think.
