• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Dealer Service reviews

What do you think about a section of the board devoted to reviews of dealer service departments? I'm new to riding and any intel would be very helpful. I suspect there are many people who would also benefit. I am in Northest Florida.

I think its a great idea, but will have to be somewhat objective. All based on service received or not received, not whether the dealer gives away hot chocolate and cookies when people go in.

Not that it makes any difference because we play by Lamont's rules, but I would be opposed. I say this with all due respect to the members of this forum, but I just find that human nature usually dictates that there will be many more gripes viz a viz praises.

Additionally, I've found that when we become irritated or mad at others, there is a tendency to exaggerate the circumstances. Bottom line is I just don't think it's a good idea. Again, though Lamont is the boss.

There was a thread published about a couple years or more ago, and it has re-surfaced a couple times. It was about recommended dealers and was not sniping at bad dealers or evaluations of poor service encountered at various :spyder2: dealers. The listing was by State, and then City.

We hear about the occasional poor service department, but that is usually based on dealers not willing to solve problems, servicing :ani29:,s incorrectly, or even refusing to service :spyder2:,s that were not purchased from them.

That is as far as I would recommend going at this time.
