• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Dealer Lines

Just learned that we now have a local Spyder dealer 12 miles away. Harley dealer who also carries Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki added Spyder. Sells only bikes and ATVs, no PWCs, snowmobiles or boats. Big HD store and also owns another HD only store about 20 miles to the east. Seems like most Spyder dealers carry Japanese lines and not HD. Owner feels he can sell Spyder to both his Japanese and HD customers. Are there any other HD/Spyder dealers out there?

We don't have any around here that I am aware of. He may be making a very good move though, as most of the people who come and ask us questions about our Spyders are usually riding Harleys in the first place. That may be different in other areas, but I have found it very interesting. We also have one dedicated Triumph rider that has been talking to us about them a lot lately as well.

Not sure how he has been able to do all that-- but kudos to him!

Probably has separate dealerships for each-- just with connected buildings ?

Never seen an HD shop that sells anything else - except Buell. Honda has also gone to Honda-only shops for any new shops opening.

You're really lucky to have all those choices at one place !

Adding the Spyder should be a good thing for them.

Town & Country Sports Center at US-12 and US-127. Got the HD franchise in 1975 before HD required exclusive dealers. Their new Tecumseh HD dealership required exclusive HD franchise and I think that's what got them the exemption on the renewal of their US-12 dealership. It is rare to see HD models side by side with all four Japanese makers and now Spyder. Spyder tech is being trained, so maybe by next spring, service and parts will be much easier.

I heard a rumor that the Harley dealer in North Platte, Nebraska is now a Spyder dealer, but don't know for sure.:dontknow:

There is a Harley dealer in Cheyenne, Wyoming that sells Hondas, They also have a other dealership in Laramie that sells both Harleys & Hondas,
There is also a dealer in Athens, Ga that Sells Harleys, Hondas and several other Japenese brands. All of them had bikes of both brands setting in the same showroom.

North Country Harley Davidson in Augusta, ME is also a Can-AM/Ski-doo dealer. They make no mention of that fact at all (that I can see) on their website which is why I didn't buy mine there.
