• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Dealer installed new fuel gauge

Took my 2012 RT in this morning for the dealer to replace the "bouncing" fuel gauge!

Fifteen minutes from when I walked in the door I was out with a very stable fuel gauge!

This was bulletin 2012-12

Ryde safe!

Does not bounce now you will be able to read it. It just won't be right. It is what it is.

I suppose if it's not accurate, I will disconnect both gauges and use the digital ones on the display. Then either install blanks or some other type gauges....:banghead:

I guess you can see if the new gauge helps any; some folks have had improvement, some haven't. We had the dealer disconnect our gauges due to the bouncing driving me nuts. Digital gauges are much more accurate. We ordered 52 mm gauges from www.prosportgauges.com. Now we've got a more accurate air temp gauge and a voltmeter.

I'm taking my 2012 RTS tomorrow to the dealer for the same replacement. I hope it fixes the bouncing needle.:gaah:

On my 2010 I gave up on replacing the gauge after the third one but on the 2013 I didn't have any issues with bouncing. I didn't feel that it was nearly as accurate as the digital one though. I sure hope that they give up on the analog and stick with the digital and use the space for something else. It really aggravated me that the analog gauges were an "upgrade" so I was reluctant to disconnect them since I had paid more for them.

I unplugged mine for now as the gas gauge is terrible with accuracy. I really like the analog temp gauge but alas you cannot have one without the other. I plan to put in a volt gauge and a 12V plug instead of the stock analog gauges.

Which ones did you get? Are they waterproof? Thanks

Both of which will be beneficial to you in the long run.

Update on new fuel gauge....

Well....After less than 24 hours with the new & improved fuel gauge, it not only doesn't bounce, it doesn't work!

I filled up at the gas station and now it only reads 3/4 tank!

So, I have ordered 2 new EVO gauges and will get them installed as soon as they arrive. I have already disconnected both gauges and verified the digital ones work...

Well today I got my new fuel gauge installed at the dealership. Before I took off, I made sure that it didn't bounce around and it didn't. :2thumbs: Time will tell if its accurate or not. I did notice though the low fuel light didn't come on till it was almost on E. Before with the bouncing gauge, the low fuel light would come on at about a 1/4 tank.
