• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need info: took :spyder2: to dealer on fri. for 3000 mile checkup. all was ok. had 1 extra key made and they had a problem getting 1 of the original keys to program. finally all 3 keys was good to go. go out sat. to look at some of the led lights that the dealer put on for me that reggy had send me from tricled. turned the key but none of the leds would come on that had always came on. the instrument lights and icons came on but when you pushed the mode button nothing happened. it just stays on the safety screen. tried taking all keys away from the :spyder2: for 15 or more minutes but still nothing happens. horn blows. all icons light up but will not come off safety screen. did a fuse or relay blow? thanks for any advice or info.

Did you accidently leave all those leds on overnight and drain your battery?

Sounds like you accidently bumped the kill switch to OFF. If that is not the case, the battery may need to be charged. Leaving it on, as they may have done during programming (extended when you had trouble with one key) may have run it down...especially if it was weak to begin with. It would also pay to check that the battery connections (inside the body, not the jump start terminals) are clean and tight.

Really check..!!

battery connections..many things on these machines work on lower voltage like horn, lights etc but others need full (Stressing full) charge to function. I had keys cloned with no problem and way cheaper than a dealer, but then I can live without the brp logo. Not crazy about led's and do hear of many problems with them. Guess it is all in the installation cause too many have them and no problems...:dontknow:

thanks everyone for the info. it happened to be a blown fuse. replaced it and all is well.

Fuses blow for a reason. I hope yours was caused by an accidental short during the service work, but if not your troubles may not be over.

Absolutely. Be prepared for further problems if not done accidentally during service. Might want to thoroughly check all your added wires and connections for any shorts to ground.
