• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

This may just be an impression, but it seems to me this forum is fascinated with the death of celebrities.
Not celebrities involved with motorcycles, but just celebrities.

As soon as you hear about a celebrity death, someone here starts a thread. It seems like a competition to be the first to talk about a celebrities death. And it's not always the same people starting these death threads. They seem to be started by a whole host of folk.
This is not a complaint, but simply a comment.
I love this forum. It's certainly NOT a deal breaker, but it DOES seem a bit morbid.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong, and I'm sure someone here will let me know about it.

A lot of these people are well-known by the vast majority of us. They may have provided us with entertainment, information, or even inspiration...
"Off-Topic" is just whatever we choose to discuss... :dontknow:

:agree: x 2.
Some of us may even check daily to see we have not been made the subject of the almost daily thread. I am not a celebrity, and we do not see a lot of member deaths--so that is a good thing.

Well we could talk about the birth of a celebrity but in most cases wewould not know they are going to be a celebrity until many years later:joke:

I also check the Obituary Section daily. I figure that if my name is in there: I don't have to go to work!:yes::yes:

 But I haven't been so lucky yet! :D

It may be because many (most?) of us are baby-boomers (or older) and many of the celebs we grew up with are aged and seem to be dying off now. I chalk it up to nostalgia.

 Two more climbers have died up on Mount Everest...:pray:
I suppose that this video shows why they want to make the climb:
