• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

yesterday I went on a long ride 300 mi with some friends. My Garmin started off not working I stoped at a NAPA store and picked up a tube of electric connection silcone and applied it to the pins on the zumo which at first did not help. About twenty miles and the GPS started to work again, that lasted about 100 miles then when I stopped to re-fuel and turned the bike off it stopped working and would not work the rest of the day and today still not working. Two things
(1) does anyone know if this is covered on warrenty (not what I want to do)
(2) It appears to not have power anyone know which two pins would be the power? Or is ther a fuse to check. I'm 1500 miles from home so I do not have my garmin book and the bike manuel is no help.

There have been a few that had bad connections or loose wires in the harness. I'd have my dealer check it out.

Did you bring your charging cord with you or your automotive power cable? If so, see if it will work/ or charge out of the cradle. That will at least tell you if it is the Zumo itself or the bike cradle/harness. If it works off your cradle with power supplied directly to the unit then the issue is with your harness or bike cradle which can be quickly taken care of with a discussion with your dealer. If the Garmin unit is faulty, then the process I suspect will involve sending the unit back to the supplier. Good luck.

That was my case about a month ago. I started a thread and there were many great suggestions, from using a pencil eraser on the pins to battery. Bottom line I finally wound up taking it to my tech about 10 minutes to fix. Took him 15 minutes. Loose connection to the wiring harness.
