Dead Battery? Need Help!!

My Spyder has been in my toy hauler all winter, at some point my trickle charger came unplugged. The Spyder won't start even after a night on a charger. It wants to start but does not. The only thing I notice is when I turn the key, it does not go into the "mode" setting, skips right past it. When I go to start it, it just whines. Is my battery dead? If so is it hard to put a new one in?
I'm getting ready to sell it, so I need it to be running right. Thanks...

If your battery is four years old it may be gone -- no longer generating enough cold cranking amps. Take it to an auto parts store or Batteries Plus where they can test it under load. Just a thought and suggestion.

Replacing the battery involves removal of most of the left side panels, including the top panel under the left passenger grab handle, if I recall correctly. If you've taken the panels off before, it shouldn't be too bad. If not, it might seem daunting. Take pictures of the battery connections prior to removal so you have a reference to use when going back together.

Curious..!!

did you use a trickle charger or abattery tender..?? If the battery gets too low tenders will not be able to charge it. You can try charging with a regular charger and get it back up to full charge. You can try jumping it with your car and ryding it for a good while to charge it as well. Changing it is a bit of a hassel but with time and patience not a problem...:thumbup:
